Facebook contest winner disqualified after seeking votes from About.com

Theodore Scott, a 60-year-old lawyer from Georgia, has been denied the prize from a contest held by Gold Peak Tea after the company discovered he was encouraging others to vote for him. After submitting an essay and accompanying video to Facebook explaining why he should win $100,000 and a year off work, he turned to _About.com_ to encourage members of its contest forum to vote for him.
